Gods Hand is Always there!!

It has been a good week this week! Coming home I have been thinking of what I can do to continue to be a missionary even though i recognize that it is not the same. I guess it all comes back to our covenants. I think since I have been home it has come to my mind that i can be a missionary by keeping my covenants because ultimately it is all about relationships and helping others to bear their burdens either spiritually or physically. So my focus has changed from wanting to be a "missionary" to living my covenants to the fullest! it has been an interesting experience as that has become my focus. On Thursday I stopped by car by the garage because it had a slow leak in the tire. I had planned to just stay there since that was really the only option so i went back to the "lounge" area and sat down on a couch diagonal to another couch that faced the television. There was a lady on that couch talking to what it seemed like to be her husband. It was quit a comical conversation but when she got off the phone I felt impressed to talk to her. It was causal talk at the beginning but eventually it moved to God and what her stand was. She had grown up in the church and had moved away from it for a time but then married a man who was catholic and decided it was time to come back. In the mean time she brought her husband with her and she was preparing to go to the temple in the upcoming months. We were able to talk for a little about faith and recognizing the spirit and boy was I glad for the spirit! it directed the whole conversation and hoped her to understand a little more! I am so grateful that Heavenly Father placed her in my path to bless me with the opportunity to talk to her. She blessed my life probably more than she will know! Another experience, on Tuesday I went to the temple in the morning and decided to do a session. I was a little late for the session so...i got to ride the elevator! That is always fun!! We went to the room and I noticed a sister who was moving a few rows back and was going to sit by herself so I decided to sit by her. She whispered that she didn't like sitting in the front because its as hard to see the screen. When the session was over and we were sitting in the celestial room i have felt an urge to talk to her but was going to wait for a minute when she stood up like she was going to leave. She walked over to me and tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I was a return missionary! I told her I was and she asked where I had served and come to find out she has a grandson in Vancouver. She have me a hug and thanked me for sitting by her and she left. What she didn't know was just how much that comment would mean to me. It is crazy being a return missionary and wondering so much about if you did any good and I have come to realize that the Lord will tell us how we have done and that he is pleased with our work but I also believe that he sometimes sends angels who follow the spirit and touch us in ways that they will never know. Who will tell us more than just a feeling and we can rely on that and know that it is from God. And to make the story even more complete, when I left it was snowing! Everyone in Cache Valley and been praying for rain and moisture, and the Lord gave the increase. I am so grateful for the time that I had to serve! Life is good! God is so aware of us and our circumstance and I know he takes care of his missionaries for the sacrifice they make to be in the field no matter who they are. We may not completely understand how it works but Heavenly Father has shown us what he expects and it is a lot but not so much that we cant do with the help of his son Jesus Christ. That is the beauty of the Gospel!! I am so grateful for the Lords hand in our lives and how much he loves us! It is so apparent if we allow ourselves to have spiritual eyes to see them!
